Properties/Benefits: Borage oil is obtained by cold pressing the seeds of the borage officinal. It is a virgin oil that is, it is unrefined to preserve all its nutrients. This precious oil has a unique composition thanks to its high content of gamma-linolenic acid (AGL), an essential omega-6 fatty acid, extremely moisturizing and soothing. This makes it excellent for dry and mature skin.
Directions for use: In hair care: Prepare your own leave-in hair serum. Simply mix 20 ml of Argan Oil (No. 228), 10 drops of Rosemary essential oil (No. 108) and 10 ml of Borage oil. Apply 2 drops of this serum to towel-dried hair prior to styling for shiny, healthy hair.
Skin care: It is used as a moisturizer for the face and body but also as a gentle but effective make-up remover.
In massage: Excellent massage oil., virgin borage oil can be used alone, or mixed with another vegetable oil and essential oils for even more benefits.
Beauty Tip: To prolong the life of borage oil, mix it with a more stable oil such as Jojoba (No. 233), Wheat Germ (No. 239) or Vitamin E (No. 807), to extend the shelf life.
