Dandelion Roots Organic 100g Herbal Tea Infusion – Plants and Spices
The roots, dried, are meanwhile infused in boiling water, and drunk in herbal tea. Finally, the leaves can be enjoyed in salads, just blanched (boiling and salted water), pan-fried or in soup.
Dandelion leaves are harvested in spring, when they are still young. As soon as they come out of the ground and until the flower buds appear, approximately from mid-April to mid-May (sometimes even as early as March).
Grilled, dandelion root advantageously replaces coffee. Devoid of caffeine, it develops a natural sweetness, close to the taste of chicory or caramel.
