What is it made of? Activated carbon is made from 100% natural oak. How does it work? Step 1: Fill your decanter or bottle with drinking tap water and place your ready-made charcoal stick inside. Step 2: Leave the activated carbon for at least one hour to remove impurities. How long do they last? The water filter lasts 6 months. We recommend reloading the stick after 3 months by boiling it for ten minutes. This will extend the service life by another 3 months. Can it be recycled? Yes, after its life as a water filter is over, you can recycle it for many secondary uses (e.g. burn it on the barbecue, crush it and put it in your soil to act as a fertilizer or even put it in your shoes to deodorize).
