“What is matrix chamomile? Matricaria chamomile or Matricaria recutita L., is an annual herbaceous plant belonging to the botanical family Asteraceae and the genus Matricaria. It is also called Wild Chamomile, Little Chamomile, German Chamomile, True Chamomile or even Truncated Matricaria. There are two other chamomiles that can be quickly confused and yet do not have the same taste or the same properties. These are Tanacetum parthenium, or Greater Chamomile, and Chamaemelum nobile, or Roman chamomile. It is one of the most widely used plants in herbalism.
