Borage is a plant native to the Mediterranean basin and evening primrose is a small yellow flower from North America. Their oil is known for its beauty benefits. It is estimated that 20% of the European population is affected by discomforts such as itching, burning sensations and/or dry skin. Borage and evening primrose seed oils are very rich in essential fatty acids – including gamma linolenic acid (GLA) – an indispensable component of skin cell membranes. The polyunsaturated fatty acids, contained in evening primrose oil, will help maintain optimum comfort throughout the women’s cycle and are necessary for the important physiological processes of the skin for healthy, trouble-free skin. Our team of bioengineers selected a borage oil titrated with 20% GLA (gamma linolenic acid) and a titrated evening primrose oil at 9%, allowing us to obtain the effective dose of 83.15 mg of GLA per capsule. Our capsules only contain vegetable oils of evening primrose and borage, without any additives. Our two oils come from distinct plant sources: Borage oil is extracted from the Borago Officinalis species, while evening primrose oil comes from Oenothera Biennis. The seeds, harvested worldwide, are cold pressed to obtain an active rich oil. The production process is then carried out in the UK. We ensure that our Evening Primrose Oil complies with all European regulations, including heavy metals and contaminant controls.
