ORIGIN OF MACA: Maca is a plant very similar to turnip. She is part of the Brassicace family. Its botanical name is Lepidium meyenii. It comes from the Andes. The edible part is its root, it develops in the Andes Mountains in Peru and Bolivia, at an altitude that varies between 2500 and 5000m.
MACA PROPERTIES: Maca has a Tonic-Adaptogenic action capable of inducing a state of greater nonspecific resistance in a body that helps to counter stress by increasing the body’s ability to adapt to environmental factors. Maca represents a tonic that helps fight against physical and mental fatigue.
