Une nouvelle \u00e9tude r\u00e9v\u00e8le cependant que les auto-descriptions sp\u00e9cifiques pr\u00e9disent mieux les risques de mortalit\u00e9 que des cat\u00e9gories plus larges. Des recherches r\u00e9centes montrent que de petites auto-descriptions sp\u00e9cifiques semblent mieux pr\u00e9dire qui vivra plus longtemps. Le mot \u00ab actif \u00bb vient en premier. Pourquoi devrions-nous \u00eatre surpris ?! Les participants au projet, qui ont port\u00e9 sur plus de 22\u00a0000 adultes dans quatre \u00e9tudes majeures qui se d\u00e9crivaient comme \u00ab actifs \u00bb, avaient un risque de d\u00e9c\u00e8s 21 % inf\u00e9rieur au cours de la p\u00e9riode d\u2019\u00e9tude, m\u00eame lorsque l\u2019\u00e2ge, le sexe et les conditions m\u00e9dicales \u00e9taient pris en compte. Mais de nouvelles recherches sugg\u00e8rent que tout le monde ne souffre pas d&#8217;inflammation : certains peuples autochtones ne semblent pas \u00eatre affect\u00e9s du tout par rapport aux habitants des pays industrialis\u00e9s.
